My Story

I am doing one of my draft Ultra running events and in doing so want to help the children's charity Freetobekids again. 

Starting April 1st I am taking part in the Northern Traverse, a running race that follows Wainwrights Coast to Coast route across England. The race starts in St Bees Cumbria and finishes in Robin Hood's Bay North Yorkshire. It crosses the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors. The route is 190 miles long and has 21,000+ feet of elevation. I have four and a half days to complete the journey and I would like to get it done in three and a half.

This challange will probably be wet, cold and both physically and mentally exhausting, but this is my choice. The children helped by Freetobekids don't often get to make such life choices. Any donation that you are able to make will help an inner city child get out into the countryside. This contact with nature gives them an escape and a chance for personal discovery and development. 

Your generosity will both spur me on and help improve a child's life. I won't win the race but that sounds like a win win to me. Thank you.
